Optimized reagent for more advanced, two color-based identification of dead cells in a sample. Contents include Acridine Orange (AO) which will premeate into all cells, bind nucleic acids, and fluoresce green as well as Propidium Iodide (PI) which will permeate only dead/dying cells, bind nucleaic acids, and fluoresce orange. These two layers of fluorescence ensures the identification of both all cells (green-positive) and truly dead cells (green/orange-positive). Carefully designed to ensure optimal fluorescence detection with both the 525/45nm filter and 561nm/LP filter of the Moxi GO II. |
